On behalf of the VERA SMC, we would like to acknowledge the brave folks from VERA who travelled up the iconic Winton to Longreach ride which took place this weekend.

Winton to Longreach is 220kms of outback riding comprising approximately 180 kms on day 1 and 40km on day 2.
Ondy Laws-King travelled up with Heathfield's Flashrani and took first place MW and line honours. Top effort after breaking an axle on the float on the way)
Louise McKay went up with Marlou Park Billy's Alibi and nabbed 3rd HW on the back of a TQ buckle last month.
Belinda Kruen and Zahinda Soniador withdrew after the 3rd leg on day 1.
These rides are unlike your average Sunday 80/40 endurance ride and highlight some different aspects of management required to succesfully complete.
Well done ladies!
