The VERA DAMC is calling for expressions of interest from Ride Organisers who would like to host the 2027 Victorian State Championships, run under the AERA Rules and the VERA State Championship Policy. Applications close 2 December 2026.

Applications should address the criteria in the State Championships Policy, outline how the event will be run and include a completed Ride Application Form, available on the VERA website. The standard Ride Application Fee of $120 is also required.

EOI SC 2027

Victoria will host the Tom Quilty event in 2029. The DAMC invites anyone interested in running the event to submit an expression of interest by 30 November 2026. VERA is looking for a dedicated team to run this prestigious ride.

Support in place includes seed funding of approximately $17,300 (this and any additional amount must be returned to VERA at the end of the event), an already constituted Tom Quilty Association and a bank account. The Tom Quilty Committee is a sub-committee of VERA and will include a VERA representative.

The EOI should cover: proposed date; venue and infrastructure; track and ride structure; ability to hold the State Championships the year prior; ride personnel (Head Vet, Assistant Head Vet, Head Chief Steward, Assistant Head Chief Steward, Treatment Vet etc.); committee members, roles and experience; local facilities; a draft budget; photos of the venue and track; and any other relevant information.

Submit your expression of interest to the VERA Secretary by 30 November 2026. Questions are welcome and previous Quilty committee members and officials can offer advice.
